China-Russia Engineering Capacity Building Roundtable Dialogue was held online on Dec 14th, co-hosted by the Chinese Society of Engineers (CSE) and China Engineering Education Accreditation Association (CEEAA). This event is an important part of the 9th China-Russia Engineering Technology Forum.

　　Luo Hui, member of the leading Party member group of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), Director of the Department of International Affairs of CAST, Vice President and joint Secretary General of CSE attended and delivered the speech. Luo Hui said that hosting the China-Russia roundtable dialogue on engineering capacity building is conducive to deepening the China-Russia engineering exchange and cooperation mechanism, jointly promoting engineers' capacity building, engineering innovation and engineers’ exchanges, better implementing the global development initiative and promoting sustainable development.

　　Yuri Petrovich Pokhorkov, President of Association for Engineering Education of Russia (AEER) attended and delivered the speech. He said that this roundtable dialogue has built a very good platform and played a positive role in promoting cooperation between China and Russia on engineering capacity building.

　　This event was co-chaired by Wang Sunyu, Ksenia Konstantinovna Zaitseva, and Ouyang Wu. Wang Sunyu is a member of Engineering Education Committee of CSE, Executive Director of CEEAA and Deputy Director and Secretary-General of UNESCO International Center for Engineering Education. Ksenia Konstantinovna Zaitseva is the director of Accreditation Center of AEER, and Ouyang Wu is the director of Engineering Capability Evaluation Committee of CSE. At the meeting, Zhou Aijun, Secretary General of CEEAA, shared the working system, progress and future work of China Engineering Education Accreditation. The president of AEER introduced the experience and future prospects of engineering education accreditation practice, and the secretariat of the CSE shared the construction of international mutual recognition of engineers and engineering ability evaluation system. Lv Zhiwei, deputy director of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering Accreditation Sub-committee of CEEAA, introduced the accreditation in the electronic information and electrical engineering field. The Moscow Aeronautical Institute, the Chinese Society of Communications and other Chinese and Russian institutions conducted exchanges on engineering education accreditation and engineering ability evaluation. The participants agree that there is great room for cooperation between China and Russia in the fields of engineering education accreditation, bilateral mutual recognition of engineers and qualification of registered engineers for overseas students. They look forward to further strengthening exchanges and pushing for the early implementation of cooperation outcomes.

　　The China-Russia Engineering Capacity Building Roundtable Dialogue is an important part of the 9th China-Russia Engineering Technology Forum. It is hosted by the CSE, the CEEAA, the Russian Federation of Science and Engineering Associations, and AEER. It aims to build an exchange platform for engineering education accreditation and international mutual recognition of engineers between China and Russia.
